Babe’s, located on Genesee Street in Utica, NY, has been making homemade pasta from scratch, “the old-fashioned way”, from the first day we opened our doors. Our pasta is made with the finest imported Fancy Durum and Semolina flours—FRESH EVERY DAY! Homemade pasta has a unique texture and we strive to cook it al dente, but please tell us if you prefer it softer. All our pasta dishes are individually made to order.
At Babe’s, only homemade sauce will do! Our spaghetti sauce is made with ripe, plum tomatoes and the freshest spices and seasonings, slow-cooked to perfection. Our marinara sauce is made with hand-squeezed plum tomatoes and blended with the freshest spices and seasonings then gently simmered to peak. Our California sauce is a fresh, light tomato basil made with fresh garlic and olive oil, gently cooked to preserve that fresh tomato taste. Our Alfredo sauce is made from our own family recipe.
We can’t tell you everything, but it does include Pecorino Romano cheese, heavy cream, parsley, egg and pepper. Our secret, flavorful combination of ingredients—(and loving care)—produces a rich, velvety sauce that will make you think all other Alfredos are just cream sauce.
